Area to the left of the main entrance, these seemed to mostly be administrative offices and possibly upper officers quarters?

The soldiers were able to bring their families as it was fairly easy duty and Czechoslovakia wasn't a major battle front. The camp was largely unknown until the Russians took control of the area and 'liberated' it.

Yes, the sign says what you might think it says.
