This is a solitary confinement cell, similar to the one that housed Gravilo Princip, the assassin of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and his wife, Sophia. Gravilo was under 18 and sentenced to life in prison as it was against the law to execute minors at that time. However, he had TB and was medicated of high doses of morphine, he died of an overdose.
An interesting coincidence was that we toured the prison on 27 June, 28 June was the anniversary of the assassination in 1914.
My shoulders almost brushed the edges of the cell door, and I came about 4" short of touching both cell walls with my outstretched arms.
